A stills camera trap with two flashes, both powered and triggered through the Waterproof Cable System. Batteries for the camera and flashes are stored conveniently in a separate enclosure.
This diagram shows a typical example of the Waterproof Cable System being used to create a stills camera trap with two off-camera flashes.
Apart from the 6xAA batteries contained within the Wireless PIR Motion Sensor v3, the trap is powered by only two batteries, conveniently stored in a central 3200ml Waterproof Battery Enclosure. Depending on the number of triggers and other factors, the battery life of this trap would be around two weeks. The life could easily be extended by adding more (or larger) batteries inside the battery enclosure.
Waterproof connections are made into all of the equipment enclosures using the Female Waterproof Enclosure Entry Cables.
This diagram shows a Canon camera being used, however, the same setup can easily be created with other camera brands such as Nikon, Sony, Fuji and Olympus etc. In these cases, you would just need to make sure to choose the correct camera connecting cable and dummy battery for the chosen camera.
